TRANSMISSION FOR LASVIT

Transmission is a unique lighting sculpture designed by Studio deFORM for the lighting firm Lasvit. The sculpture is made from SIMAX borosilicate glass, which is more versatile and malleable than other types of glass, and due to it's durability, is often used in laboratory equipment and everyday cookware. The pieces are cut and welded into original compositions that offer dramatic and unexpected lumino-kinetic effects from every angle. As the glass parts are joined together by heat, the individual elements become a single body.
